Program Kids 4 Cameras

  • Providing an environment to teach digital photography

  • Making sure each child has the use of a digital camera.  If a child does not have access to a camera, one would be supplied to them with the help of sponsors for use during the course,

  • Explaining care and functions of a digital camera

  • Demonstrating the best ways to steady a camera

  • Discussing how to select subject matter

  • Discussing perspective, point of view,  and storytelling in the photo. Showing how the same subject can be taken from many angles

  • Lighting and it’s effect on composition

  • Using photo editing software

  • Selecting the best images to submit

  • Showing this is only the beginning.  Giving directions and ideas for the student’s photography

  • Having the work printed and displayed in a juried exhibit.  The top photographs will receive awards.

  • Having the images in a slide show, as well as in a gallery on our web site, Kids4Cameras.org. A DVD will be given to the local library.

The teaching staff is made up of professional and non-professional photographers and volunteers of the Euclid Art Association.
